Team/School
- Schools with MSHSAA linked clubs may enter as many two man teams with a board approved boaters/captains as they choose.
- During the tournament there will be two separate opportunities for anglers to represent their respective schools. We will have an individual Team Champion (the winning two man/woman team with the heaviest weight after two days of competition) and a School Champion (School who scores the most points based on total weight with their two man/woman teams after two days of competition).
- Individual Team Champions:
Each team will be fishing for points for their respective schools based on that team’s total weight each day. Points will be awarded based on each two man/woman team’s finish after two days of competition. The top 15 places will be awarded points towards the School Championship. In the event of a tie both schools will be awarded those points for that place in the tournament towards the Championship. The following scoring will be used to determine our Champion. The winners of this part of the tournament will be determined by the two man/woman team that has the heaviest total weight accumulated over both days of competition. First day weights will carry over to day number two to help determine the winners. There is a five fish limit of 15 inch legally measured fish each day. A legal limit can consist of a combination of Largemouth, Smallmouth, Spotted, and Meanmouth bass.

Refusing the polygraph examination will result in immediate disqualification of that team and that school will be disqualified. At no time during competition days are boaters allowed to give instruction on baits or location to any High School angler.
Honesty and Integrity:
: The tournament committee will determine off limits area’s around the take-off area. This is usually inside the buoyed area of the tournament take off. No competitors are allowed to fish within 50 yards of a public gas pump or another competitor’s boat which is anchored or in a fixed position (with the trolling motor out of the water). Competitors are not allowed to fish an area that is designated as a "no fishing" area by state and federal agencies.

Schools and teams need to be registered and linked by May 15th, 2014 to participate in this event. All competitors from Schools that have properly linked with MSHSAA will be covered under the States catastrophic insurance policy. Safe boating must be observed at all times. Each contestant is required to wear a U.S. Coast-Guard approved personal flotation device fully strapped or zipped anytime the combustion engine is running during competition or practice. Contestants are not allowed to stand in any vessel that is on plane at any time during competition. Violation of these rules will be grounds for disqualification. All boats must be equipped with an engine shut-off device securely attached to the boat operator "kill switch" when the combustion engine is running. At the discretion of the Tournament Director, tournament times may be shortened, postponed or cancelled due to unsafe weather or water conditions.
All contestants are required to follow the highest degree of sportsmanship, conservation, care and courtesy at all times. No Drugs (other than those prescribed by a physician) shall be used by any competitor during practice or competition. No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the boat at any time. Pontoon boats that meet the requirements set forth by tournament committee will be allowed. All boats must be equipped with kill switches attached to the driver any time the combustion engine is running. Each boat is required to have a properly aerated live well capable of maintaining a live limit of bass by each team. Anglers are not allowed to use the combustion engine for fishing purposes. High school anglers are not allowed to operate the combustion engine at any time during the event. High School anglers can only operate the electric trolling motor.
Contestants may not depart the boat to land a fish or make the boat more accessible to fishing waters. Contestants must land all fish inside the boat. Contestants must leave and return to the official checkpoint by boat. Neither contestant may depart from the boat except in the case of a dire emergency. In such an emergency, one or both competitors may be removed from their boat to another boat operated by other competitors or a rescue boat.
There will be a mandatory pre-take off announcement 10 minutes prior to take-off. Boats will take off in the order of the number they have been assigned through a random draw. We will reverse the order on day two. No boat is allowed to take off until its number has been called. An idle inspection will be conducted at take-off. Boat operator will be asked to show "kill switch" after he /she idles by the check point. No boat is allowed to leave the take-off area if a faulty "kill switch" is detected. All coast-guard approved life jackets must be fully zipped, snapped, or strapped on both contestants and the boater/captain. Live wells must be open and aerators on during idle by. Failure to comply by these rules may result in forfeiture or loss of take-off position. No jockeying for position will be tolerated during take-off. Safety is number one.
Take-off and check in times will be determined by the tournament committee. During pre-tournament inspection, all competitors must be in full compliance of all rules set forth by the tournament committee and continue to abide by those rules until the weigh-in is complete. All boats will identify themselves and their school as well as their boat number and proceed to the weigh-in area to weigh their fish. Failure to receive morning boat inspection or turn in your boat number at the check point can lead to disqualification for day two.
Largemouth, Kentucky (spotted), Smallmouth and Meanmouth bass are counted. Five fish per team may be weighed each day. Fish must be brought to the scales in a CPA weigh-in bag with water. All fish must measure the legal 15 inches. Fish should be measured on a flat board with the mouth of the fish closed and the tail of the fish must touch the legal length line to qualify. Bass presented for the weigh-in which fail to measure the legal length will not be counted and result in a 1.00 pound penalty for that team. For each legal dead bass weighed 0.50 pound will be deducted from that team’s total weight. The tournament committee reserves the sole right for assessing any and all penalties at the weigh-in. At no time during the tournament shall a team possess more than a 5 fish limit. Failure to comply with these rules will result in immediate disqualification.
Contestants not at designated check-in site by the official designated time will be penalized 0.50 pound for each minute late up to a maximum of ten minutes or 5 pounds. Any contestants more than 10 minutes late will forfeit their weight for that day.
